Welcome to the one and only, historic Dalton
Depot & Trackside Cafe. As a nationally registered historic
landmark The Dalton Depot is one of the few Victorian era train
stations that survived Sherman's infamous "March to the Sea"
during the civil war. The Depot that witnessed the "Great Train
Race" of 1862 has seen almost all of the development of downtown
Dalton.
Today the historic Depot provides an up-scale and delightful
change-of-pace to the fast-food that is so common along I-75 and
is a highly recommended stop for visitors to the area and is
highly thought of by the locals.
The
menu features a wide range of foods including steak,
seafood, chicken, pasta, hamburgers and neo-classic American
house specialties including pork chops, baby back ribs and
shrimp and cheese grits.
With one of the biggest, friendliest bars you have ever seen,
the Depot has live entertainment and social events on a nightly
basis. Please check our
calendar for a
listing.
